William Hill got its start in the United States market in Nevada in 2012, and then quickly made its way to New Jersey when the state first started offering online sports betting in the fall of 2018, following the Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act.
In the 1960s, the company started opening betting shops in England, and in the 1990s, they started opening online sportsbooks.
They started way back in 1934, taking bets by phone and by mail. William Hill is one of the longest-running global sports betting companies around.
